Abstract
This paper presents the development of analytical expressions that can be used in the evaluation of the rainy channels effects on the bit error rate (BER) performance of millimeter-Wave (mm-Wave) based systems. In order to obtain these expressions is used a rainy channel model that no only consider the path-loss attenuation but also the absorption and scattering losses caused by the rain. The resulting mathematical expressions are applied to specific situations, allowing a quantitative evaluation of the BER degradation.
