Abstract

The knowledge of Discrete Mathematics is fundamental for the study of Computer Science and some engineering specialties. The implementation of the b-learning model for the teaching of Discrete Mathematics in the Systems Engineering career is described. The Moodle platform was used as an enriching element of the teaching-learning processes and face-to-face education and virtual education strategies have been combined. The methodology used is that of a feasible project with a quantitative approach. The results show that students favorably perceive the virtual classroom as support for synchronous sessions and that they were able to manage their own times in the learning process. The analysis of the results was based on the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposal. It is concluded that the application of the b-learning model together with the appropriate design of activities promotes the active participation of the student and the development of autonomous learning strategies.
