Abstract
Teaching programming courses can be considered challenging for those who teach the subject. The difficulty of programming together with the lack of knowledge when dealing with students who are in the first year of studies makes the challenge even greater. In the career of Electronic Engineering of the National University of San Agustín the use of Arduino has been incorporated to teach the main programming concepts oriented to electronics. Students program components aimed at solving problems related to their profession. The first results have shown the effectiveness in the use of Arduino. We believe that our experience can be replicated not only in other Electronic Engineering careers, but in any engineering that I have programming courses guiding the development of the projects to the relevant contexts of each engineering.
