Abstract
Blended Learning has become a “standardized” modality, adopted and implemented in the scope of training, mainly in the university level. Considering the systematic mapping—as a technique of information retrieval—56 scientific productions (theses and articles) are collected from the national digital repository, which evince the development of this area in Peru. The results analysis reveals an emerging scientific production that “portrays” the prioritized training areas and fields, furthermore, they evidence the concentration of studies in public universities, located mostly in Lima, the capital city. Additionally, they emphasize that scientific production prioritizes theses rather than articles, and preferably, they follow quantitative research designs and techno-pedagogical orientations of the combinatorial model, establishing the face-to-face and virtual aspects separately, ignoring other possibilities, such as integration and convergence. In this manner, their evolutionary dynamics approximate them to Latin American contexts and separate them from the Iberian context, due to their transition to other models.
