Abstract
The production of fibers and garments based on South American camelids is an important source of income for the high Andean communities in Peru that are dedicated to raising these, as well as the textile industry from these is one of the main economic activities of Peru. by the amount of exports they represent at the international level. Throughout this industry, Peru has developed competitive advantages due to the large population of South American camelids it possesses, however, this has not been properly exploited, opening the way for other world powers to try to overcome it. Although the Peruvian state is developing research and marketing strategies, there is still a difference compared to those developed by other countries.
