Abstract

The creation of self-employment is crucial due to intense job competition after graduation, prompting higher educational institutions to encourage entrepreneurial spirit among young individuals. To achieve this goal, understanding the factors driving this attitude is essential. This study focuses on analyzing the influence of gender on individual factors explaining entrepreneurial readiness among university students from a public institution in Peru. Employing a quantitative and explanatory approach, a questionnaire named ‘Entrepreneurial Intention,’ based on the Likert scale, was administered to 619 students via Google Forms. Analysis was conducted using a multiple regression model using RStudio and SPSS 25.0. Results reveal that independence is a significant factor for both men and women. Moreover, in men, communication and persuasion skills stand out, while women emphasize the need for self-realization.
