Abstract
Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Formative Research enable future engineering professionals to acquire the skills needed to solve real problems. In this work we analyze the valuation made by the students about the use of PBL to develop Formative Research in the subject of Electronic Business. To collect student's perception a questionnaire is used, information that is systematized to show the results achieved. The results reveal that the objectives set out were achieved as the implementation of the PBL contributed to improving knowledge appropriation and the development of the competences raised. It is concluded that students value PBL's experience and teacher's performance favorably. Concerning Formative Research, they consider that it contributed to their training by increasing their knowledge, competences and skills, while developing basic research skills.
