Abstract

This research establishes relationships between different videoludic productions and representative literary works of the Hispanic-American scope. The link between the world of videogames and literature is still little explored, but this topic acquires relevance in the current domain of transmedia storytelling of contemporary culture. From a ludoficcional perspective a set of videoludic remediations is analyzed about the novel The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha (1615) by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra; the video game Intimate, infinite (Robert Yang, 2014) based on the short story The Garden of Forking Paths (1941) by Jorge Luis Borges; and the video game Space Invaders (Taito, 1978) that inspired the homonymous novel by the Chilean writer Nona Fernández (2013). It is argued that the significance of these cultural artifacts acquires greater meaning when establishing links with other intertexts y when they are examined from the configuration of the ludofictional worlds.
