Resumen
The vision of beyond 5G and 6G systems presents key features that are expected to be met. Around the world, researchers are introducing some technological enablers that will allow these features to be met. Among these technologies include the use of new waveforms based on the classic OFDM. The main waveforms that have been proposed so far include FBMC, UFMC, and GFDM. In this way, several studies have been carried out to analyze the performance of these waveforms in different scenarios; however, most of them perform these analyzes using only computational simulations. In order to avoid costly computational simulations, this paper presents closed-form analytical expressions that allow the development of a computational tool to evaluate the performance of the 5G waveform candidates in terms of spectral efficiency and symbol error rate.
