Resumen
This review article presents a critical appraisal; of two technologies that have progressively evolved significantly, we refer to gamification and geolocation, which are presented as a triggering factor for student motivation, for this the most relevant conceptions of both concepts are addressed, and making a tracing of the oldest postulates, even some that currently synthesize their nature and contribution to the educational sector, additionally the conceptions about motivation are rescued, within the current treatises, about the motivation that the computer media promote, and that affect the Attitudes in students, in a conclusive way, the consequence of ignoring or undervaluing these concepts is noted, in addition to the consideration of the student as a worker, who seeks, consumes, adopts and incorporates knowledge into their training.
