Resumen

This article presents the proposal of an object-oriented programming teaching model based on the development of video games and applying software project management techniques and Scrum, generating a motivating environment for learning. Teaching the object-oriented paradigm creates significant challenges that are not easy to deal with, even with a basic understanding of computer programming. It is shown that the teaching-learning process applying the proposed model to teach object-oriented programming concepts is effective and motivating, validating the model in video game development projects, validation carried out at the National University of San Agustín de Arequipa-Peru in the Professional School of Systems Engineering, in the Fundamentals of Programm ing 2 course and takes into account the learning styles of post-millennials or Generation Z.
