Resumen
Security is a determining factor in the lives of individuals in society. Risk situations are observed every day, and, consequently, the number of solutions and research projects in systems for monitoring real-time events is increasing. This paper describes the development of a facial recognition system to detect security events on a university campus. A description of the architecture, main modules and functions, and implementation challenges are addressed. The system is presented as a promising solution in combating robbery and control activities on university campuses in its first trial version. The solution is the result of a partnership between Huawei Brazil and the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
