Resumen
The energy consumption of buildings is an important issue since the construction sector is one of those responsible for energy consumption, both in its construction phase and in the maintenance stage, so precisely the energy rehabilitation of buildings plays an important role in the energy saving of the sector. This work will show the improvement of the opaque elements of the building envelope, that is, the rehabilitation of the walls as part of a comprehensive study of energy rehabilitation for the Public School of Ermitagaña in the city of Pamplona Spain, where criteria were applied of sustainability as well as for the energy improvement as well as the environmental comfort of the users, to the analysis of the building tests and monitoring with specialized sensors were carried out, as well as the approach of the improvement of the envelope prioritizing the use of materials of low environmental impact. To determine the improvement and the impact of the rehabilitation, different scenarios of improvement were simulated with the use of energy simulation tools such as design building software, improvements that were quantified and the relevance of these in their contribution to the reduction of energy consumption, as well as the reduction of the environmental impact of the building.
